Baseball Season!

Our life is officially BUSY again. Another sport season has begun. Jakob started games on Monday. The worst part is his games are on the same night as Jacey's. So I won't see him play much this year. Luckily, Jacey's season starts next week.
He played second base, third base and pitcher on Monday.
We played Panhandle and even though they didn't win tonight...I am still his biggest fan! He got to be the closing pitcher and only allowed one run. He gets so nervous pitching, shows just how serious he is about doing his best!
I hope I can keep these white pants white! Let's bring home a win on Thursday.

Braces!

After three years, Jakob is finished wearing braces! His teeth look so much better...Before braces Jarret referred to his teeth as can openers! I will have to find a picture to post to show the improvement.
We are on our way to get them removed.
He looks so different without them! Also his orthodontist office had a march madness basketball pot and Jakob won 2nd place out of almost 100 entrants. He won a $25 gift card to academy and also a nice prize package.
He is such a lucky kid (or great at picking winning teams)!

Jacey Fashion Show

Jacey participated in the Armstrong County Fashion Show on Thursday. At first she couldn't decide if she wanted to participate. I am so proud of her, she was very confident modeling in front of the judge and answering questions.  She also modeled in front of the crowd without any hesitation.
Answering questions about her garment for the judge.
We were so proud to hear her name called as the winner of the dressy category as well as the best rookie model! It makes me so happy to celebrate in my children's achievements. Jacey has come out of her shell so much this year. She gets to go on to compete at the district competition on May 3!

Samuel's Easter Party!

IToday was Samuel's Easter party at school. Samuel is my easy going child who doesn't care if I am at his party or not but Jacey wants me at every party. I have been going to all of Jacey's parties but I decided that grandma could go with Jacey! Samuel had a blast hunting eggs.
After hunting eggs we had coke floats in the classroom. Of course it is a cold and windy day for the party.
It is a bittersweet day because this is Samuel's last holiday party in Kindergarten! Times goes too quickly.

Ruby Lynn

We are so honored to be our niece, Ruby Lynn, Godparents. We celebrated her baptism Saturday evening.
She is a precious baby. She was perfect during the baptism and did not make a sound.
We had a party afterwards at Pat and Maggie's house.
We had lots of fun visiting, eating and watching the kids rin around.
Angela and the kids were here for almost two weeks so it was great to be able to spend time with the kids and get to hold Ruby. I was able to rock her to sleep one afternoon. We miss getting to see them!

End of school parties!

I The 3rd and 5th grade had an end of school party together because I was in charge of both parties. Plus we were able to rent a huge bounce water slide with the money I collected for the parties. The kids had a blast. They had hula hoops, bubbles, slip n slides and a pizza party. We finished the day with ice cream sandwiches!
This is Jakob's last year in elementary it makes me sad to think they are old enough for junior high. All the elementary kids lined the halls this morning and the 5th graders were allowed to run down and hall and high five everyone after their name was announced.
Jacey's class made jello beach snacks before the party started.
Jacey's class also had a blast on the slide, slip n slides and water squirters!
I think this was the least stressful end of school party today. So excited for summer!

Wonderland

We went to see Carson in the hospital. He is a perfect little baby. Lizette looks great and they hope to leave hospital in a couple of days. Samuel loved looking at Carson. It makes me want another baby but then I remember how much work they are and how old I am getting. He is precious though.

After we went to meet Carson we went to Wonderland Park. We always try to go once every summer and since the weather was perfect we decided to go tonight.
Plus Jacey had to miss her AR trip to Wonderland so she has been anxious to go.  We all had a blast.
It really is the perfect size amusement park for my kids. Not too many rides and not any long lines. We were able to  ride most of the rides in three hours. Perfect family evening.
