Memorial Weekend

This weekend wasn't quite as busy as most. On Friday, Jacey was still sick so she had to miss the A.R. Trip to Wonderland. I felt so bad but she didn't seem to mind. Jakob had a great time and a friend shared a few photos. I was disappointed because this is Jakob's last year to go to wonderland and I have been with him every year but I think he was glad to be on his own.
Samuel, Jacey and I just rested. Everyone woke up feeling great on Saturday. First full nights sleep for mom and dad in 8 nights! Jakob had a baseball game Saturday morning.
They lost 5-6 but it was a great game and Jakob scored once and had a great hit! After the game, we had a cookout with Pat and Maggie and then enjoyed swimming. We decided to go to church Saturday night so we could enjoy the day on Sunday. After Mass we enjoyed supper at the Plaza with Pat and Maggie.
Jarret and Jakob sprayed all morning Sunday and then we painted lawn furniture. It looks brand new.
Jarret never stops resting. We thought we were going to get rain so the kids quickly found their umbrellas and had a blast pretending it was raining.
Unfortunately, my kids had school on Memorial Day because it was a snow day. Samuel and I enjoyed a full day of a shopping with Grandma Kak and Bailee. After school we enjoyed a Memorial Day party with Pa, Grandma, Hunter and Bailee. We had a cookout and swam!

Awards ceremony!

Another proud day for our kids. They both did great this year in school and received many awards.  I am so proud of each of them for always doing their best in school.
Jacey also received a ribbon for 6th place in ready writing.  She also had 230% of her A.R. goal. I am glad she truly loves to read.
Jakob also did great this year even if he was somewhat of a trouble maker at times!
Following awards was music program: Stone soup! Super cute and Jakob had a speaking part as well as a solo!
Ready for summer now!

Weekend Whoas!

IWe had a great and busy weekend. It started with track and field day on Friday. Jakob and Jacey are both athletic and competitive. I know they don't get it from me.
Jacey won 2nd in the 100 yard dash and 3rd in the 50, 200 and 400 and she volunteered to run two relay races. I never would have done that as a kid. Jakob won 1st in the softball throw and the 50 and 2nd in the 100, 200, 400 and the mile. I love to watch them enjoying sports.
It is hard to imagine that all three Of my kids will participate next year. I will be busy trying to watch all of them. Also it will be Jakob's last year, which makes me sad.
A big thanks to Grandma Kak for taking over on Friday so Jarret, Jakob and I could go to Garden City for Todd's graduation. It was a long and quick trip but we are glad we got to help him celebrate a great accomplishment.
On Saturday, Jacey had  her first soccer game of the year. They did a great job and had so much fun.
After soccer we went to lunch with Brice and Chrisee's family. Then we headed home to get ready for Bailee's bday party.
Sunday, we went to church and brunch and then ran errands. We enjoyed the afternoon swimming. After a quick supper we rode four wheelers and gator while checking the fields. Great family day.
Everything is looking great! Jarret is pleased with his cotton and corn.
We might actually have one field of wheat to harvest this year! What a great and long weekend!

Bailee's birthday!

We celebrated Bailee's birthday at our house on Saturday. She wanted to have a swimming party. The kids had a blast swimming but I think they had more fun playing after supper.
I cannot believe she is already 3 years old. Unfortunately Samuel was not feeling well and slept during the party.
The kids played for hours after we enjoyed cake, ice cream and presents.
Hunter and Jakob decided they needed helmets incase they had a wreck on their tractors.
I also want to thank my sister for telling me about the new photo app she is using: a beautiful mess. I love it!

Garden planting

We had a busy weekend. I had a nice relaxing that included a nap. We planted our garden which has grown bigger each year. I am looking forward to having fresh grown vegetables.
