Ruby Lynn

We are so honored to be our niece, Ruby Lynn, Godparents. We celebrated her baptism Saturday evening.
She is a precious baby. She was perfect during the baptism and did not make a sound.
We had a party afterwards at Pat and Maggie's house.
We had lots of fun visiting, eating and watching the kids rin around.
Angela and the kids were here for almost two weeks so it was great to be able to spend time with the kids and get to hold Ruby. I was able to rock her to sleep one afternoon. We miss getting to see them!

End of school parties!

I The 3rd and 5th grade had an end of school party together because I was in charge of both parties. Plus we were able to rent a huge bounce water slide with the money I collected for the parties. The kids had a blast. They had hula hoops, bubbles, slip n slides and a pizza party. We finished the day with ice cream sandwiches!
This is Jakob's last year in elementary it makes me sad to think they are old enough for junior high. All the elementary kids lined the halls this morning and the 5th graders were allowed to run down and hall and high five everyone after their name was announced.
Jacey's class made jello beach snacks before the party started.
Jacey's class also had a blast on the slide, slip n slides and water squirters!
I think this was the least stressful end of school party today. So excited for summer!

Wonderland

We went to see Carson in the hospital. He is a perfect little baby. Lizette looks great and they hope to leave hospital in a couple of days. Samuel loved looking at Carson. It makes me want another baby but then I remember how much work they are and how old I am getting. He is precious though.

After we went to meet Carson we went to Wonderland Park. We always try to go once every summer and since the weather was perfect we decided to go tonight.
Plus Jacey had to miss her AR trip to Wonderland so she has been anxious to go.  We all had a blast.
It really is the perfect size amusement park for my kids. Not too many rides and not any long lines. We were able to  ride most of the rides in three hours. Perfect family evening.

Happy Birthday Keeler!

Today is one of the sweetest little boys birthdays. I cannot believe that he is already five! He is a thoughtful, cute, imaginative, and caring little cowboy!
I wish we were able to see him more often but we enjoy getting together as often as we can. I love that my sister and I have boys close together. Nothing like cousins!
*Kallahan didn't get in this photo*
We went to Kansas on Thursday to  celebrate Keeler's big day. We had his birthday party at the Liberal water park. It was so much fun. We started the party in the park with subway, cake and presents. We even had a piƱata! Everyone had a great time at the water park.
Here are a few pics of the water park fun!
I love watching Keeler grow up and change every time I get the chance to see him. I love you, Keeler!

Annual Ulysses Fair

Every year we go to the Ulysses Fair because it is the week of Keeler's birthday. We always have a great time and there is so much entertainment for the kids. First we had to get boots and jeans on for the night. The boys loved this.

We start with a BBQ meal followed by delicious homemade ice cream, which is made by the junior civic group that my sister is part of. We then had to take a ride on the train.

Next, we enjoy the kids rodeo. Samuel, Keeler, and Kallahan participated this year.  They rode stick horses and they all rode a sheep.
We all had a mix of emotions as we waited for them to ride. We really thought they would back out and when they didn't we were scared and but also so proud of them. They grow up too quickly. Kallahan thinks he is as old as they are though.
We finished the evening by watching the tractor pulls.
Always such a fun and eventful day!

Fourth of July

I am really behind on my posts but I thought better late than never! We had a great fourth. We really didn't make any plans which was good because we ended up having a blast. We thought about going to a baseball game that was followed with fireworks or go to Pa and Grandmas for bouncers and fireworks. Mack and Kay were visiting and Mack wanted to come out and swim. So we decided let's just cookout, swim and fireworks at our house with our families. It was great to be home all day.
Jacey had a friend, Allie, join us for swimming. The kids made Fourth of July jello jigglers!
The kids did pop its while we waited for it to get dark enough to start fireworks!
Jarret and Jakob were able to put on a pretty good firework show considering it was a windy night. The kids ended the celebration with sparklers!
Hope everyone had a great 4th!
