Back to School

The kids went back to school today. Jakob cried last night and Jacey was very upset this morning. We had a great trip but I think it made their vacation time go by quickly. I hated to make them go back! We have had a wonderful Christmas break, but before we know it it will be Spring Break.!

Cotton Bowl

We went to the Cotton Bowl yesterday. Texas A&M defeated Oklahoma, 41-13! We had great seats in the Dallas Cowboys Stadium. It was amazing to see and be inside the huge stadium. The kids all loved rooting on the Aggies. Johnny Manziel is a wonderful quarterback and it was neat to watch him play. Samuel loved giving high fives to all the people sitting around us after each touchdown. It was an amazing experience and I am glad my kids were able to go to such a fun game!

Dallas trip

We are on one of our longest family vacations. We will be staying at 5 different locations for a total of 6 nights away from home. We just finished up day 5 and I am exhausted. I put Samuel and Jacey to bed and now Jarret and Jakob have gone to Midnight Yell, aggie tradition! We spend the last two days with Matt, Kristen, Drew, Jack, and Anna at the Great Wolf Lodge . We were celebrating Samuel and Jack's birthdays.

Family Fun December 28, 2012

We had a wonderful Christmas and continued spending time with family today. The kids, well Keeler, decided today would be a great day to play at Chuck E. Cheese and of course my kids were excited to meet him there. They had a great morning playing games and doing the Hokie pokey with Chuck E. The adults didn't want to eat Chuck E. pizza so we went to McAlisters. After lunch we got a rare opportunity to go shopping without any kids. Jakob and Jacey stayed with Pa Diddy while the little boys went to Mimi's to play with Bryon! We had a great time and I found lots of clothes for our trips. It is always fun to spend time with my mom and Kelley!

Rudolph and Narrator

Jakob and Jacey's Christmas program was today at school. Jacey was given the part of Rudolph and she did a great job and Jakob was one of the narrators. We always love to go to their programs to see what they have been working on in music. This year the Christmas program was changed from year's past. It is hard for me to even think about this been Jakob's last Christmas program in elementary school. It seems like just yesterday that we went to his first program. I have been thinking a lot about how different my life will be next year without kids at home during the school day. It is going to be a hard transition.

New John Deere Tractor

We were blessed with another good year in farming. This year the most exciting piece of equipment purchased was delivered yesterday. The kids loved getting a ride on the new John Deere 8260R.  It is so nice to live out on the farm now so our kids are able to see and help with the daily worked involved. Jacey was even excited to ride on the new tractor. Samuel was so excited he was not able to stand still so I could take his picture.
